Corp member in Kaduna received N66k instead of N33k, see what he did.
A corp member in Kaduna State has demonstrated and exhibited an unexpected and appreciated honesty. The corp member who is serving in Kaduna State was showered a lot of accolades over the step he took after he was erroneously paid Sixty Six Thousand Naira (N66,000) instead of the usual, recent Thirty Three Thousand Naira (N33,000)
According to the source, the corp member in Kaduna got a doubled amount but instead of rejoicing over his” luck and fortune”, he returned the excess/extra to the appropriate authority.
As soon as this news got out, the young man has been saluted and praised over the honest decision he took to return the excess, knowing it was clearly an unprecedented mistake.
Meanwhile, it should be recorded that it’s not been more than two weeks when the monthly allowance of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was increased to Thirty Three Thousand Naira (N33,000).
It was the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC); Shuaibu Ibrahim, who educated Nigerians on this latest development, noting that it was increased to follow suit with the Federal Government recently approved minimum wage.
The identity of the corp member in Kaduna State who exhibited this level of honesty was not revealed and just as he enjoyed a lot of support and encouragement from a few, he was also criticized by people who felt “it was somehow” to have done something like that.
